Advancing Healthy Aging: Tailored Nutritional Insights and Strategies for Action

Wed 17 Apr | 10:30 - 11:30

Food and dietary intake play a significant role in healthy ageing. What people eat influences the risk of diseases, can affect the ageing process, and has a huge impact on quality of life. Healthy ageing is therefore tightly linked to consumer food choices, which in turn are linked to the food products available to them and to the information that can help them making the right choices. In order to promote healthy ageing, we therefore need to understand how we can help consumers making choices that are aligned with healthy ageing. The EIT Food Consumer Observatory has been established to bring this kind of insights about. Using personalised nutrition tools as an example, it will be shown how consumer insights can help promote the uptake of innovations that have the potential to further healthy ageing.
