An event for everyone: Embracing inclusivity and equality
All our sessions include simultaneous translation, and we’ve designed a conference that’s accessible to everyone, including those with reduced mobility.
We also actively promote and highlight the role of women in technology and industry.
Everything has a second life
At Expo Foodtech we are very committed to the environment. We have eliminated paper from our event with digital initiatives such as the visitor’s guide in the F4F app, the exhibitor’s guide through QR codes, or going from using paper lists for institutional and networking activities to using Tablets.
We have recycling points and there are bins to separate waste distributed throughout our showroom. In addition, at Food 4 Future we are dealing with a wide variety of topics with specific forums dedicated to sustainable food industry. Also, 65% of the common areas material is reused from other events, so that we don’t need to build and create waste in our assembling.
Oxfam Intermón and Food 4 Future
At Expo Foodtech, we proudly collaborate with Oxfam Intermón, an NGO that works tirelessly to end poverty and inequality worldwide. This year, after hosting their presence at several of our events, including Expo Foodtech, we have achieved:
🡪 Over 110 emergency feminine hygiene kits
🡪 The establishment of 4 agroecological plots
🡪 12 water tankers to provide drinking water for 12 families
🡪 4 handwashing stations, enabling more than 200 hand washes per refill
Eco-Friendly Pavilion: Powered by Renewables
Expo FoodTech is held at BEC, a venue that integrates sustainability into its management, applying measures to minimize its environmental impact.
56% of the energy consumed at the venue comes from renewable sources, thanks to the expansion of its solar photovoltaic plant. In addition, motion sensors and LED lighting have been implemented to enhance energy efficiency.The commitment to the environment is also reflected in its circular economy approach, promoting waste separation at the source and the use of reusable materials. Moreover, BEC’s location facilitates sustainable mobility, with access to public transportation and charging stations for electric vehicles.
