Population growth and global warming are the two significant challenges for supply chains. Food is one of the products that move the most throughout the world, so it is necessary to have global control and traceability systems to guarantee the safety of food systems. Food safety is not a solved issue, and it is always a challenge. In this session, we will explore food safety challenges from two perspectives. On the one hand, the drivers impacting food safety will be analyzed, and the established policies to enhance it. On the other hand, it will be provided insight into implementing a food safety culture in the food industry.
