The demand for sustainably caught seafood is increasing worldwide and sustainable seafood sourcing commitments are been made by a growing number of fishing companies, suppliers, retailers and consumers. Speakers will debate how the different actors in the value chain can contribute to deliver the Sustainable Development Goals related to the ocean (GSD 14). We will hear experiences on emblematic fisheries, retail and brands committed to sustainable seafood, the role of Marine Stewardship Council program to support the change in the way our oceans are fished and also recent impact studies on how certification program can deliver social, economic and environmental benefits to producers and business engaged.
