By mid-century, the global protein market will look entirely different from now. The plant proteins (from soy) will continue to dominate in the next ten years. But new sources such as pea, rice, flax, canola, quinoa and chia will grow fast. The alternative protein market share will increase sales of insects, mycoproteins, and algae as protein sources. Even in vitro meat will be going to contribute to human protein intake.
