The effect of the global supply chain crisis caused by COVID, the war in Ukraine, and the increase in energy and raw material prices have caused some significant changes in the food industry as well as in food distribution. There are also structural changes such as meeting the growing demand for protein and food caused by population growth and the reduced availability of water and fertile land due to climate change. How to tackle all these challenges together is a challenge for food business managers and owners. Some solutions with a global approach for their local application will be presented.
