High-tech greenhouse systems and vertical farming have been proposed as a means to sustainable intensification of food production. They represent a system of plant production that makes it possible to modify, by means of various techniques, the agro-climatic conditions to extend the duration of the growing season, modify conventional crop cycles, increase production and quality, reduce fluctuations in yields, obtain off-season harvests and, finally, extend cultivation areas. These sessions will cover the latest technologies as a solution to support climate-friendly and climate-resilient horticulture production.
